An industry partner’s relationship with MATES demonstrates a commitment to raising the standard of suicide prevention and mental health in the mining industry.
The aim is to give businesses and their employees the tools to enable good mental health. By supporting MATES, partners are investing in the long-term future health of their industry.

The MATES in Construction training programs are direct, practical and “speak the language” of our employees – they understand the way we work and the challenges of our industry. MATES in Construction partner with us to provide our people with the skills and understanding to identify and act upon signs of mental distress in their workmates with the aim of suicide prevention. It makes for a safer and happier workplace.
