Justin Maxwell has over 30 years’ experience in the services trades and construction industry. He got his start in the industry as an Apprentice Sprinkler Fitter in 1988. After working for various fire sprinkler companies across Australia for more than 20 years, he began working as an Organiser for the Plumbers Union Qld in 2009. For 4 years Mr Maxwell organised the Gold Coast area, showing leadership and strength to the members that he served.

Since 2013 Justin has been the Apprentice Mentor/Co-Ordinator for the Plumbers Union Qld Apprentice Program and responsible for the higher than average successful completion rate of apprenticeships in the Services Trades Industry. This is in part due to his mentoring and guidance offered to these apprentices. From 2024 Mr Maxwell was elected as assistant state Secretary of the PPTEU Qld. Justin is also a deputy member of the Services Trades Council and Alternative Director for BERT/CIPQ.
