Peter Ong has been a member of the Electrical Trades Union (ETU) since he was 15 years old, having joined the ETU as an apprentice construction electrician in Karratha, Western Australia. He has worked in a variety of construction settings as an electrician for over two decades and currently is a Director on the Board of the Contracting Industry Redundancy Trust (CIRT).
