CONSOLIDATED POWER PROJECTS (HOPELAND PROJECT)

Located in Hopeland, just outside Chinchilla, the Ulinda Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) is a cutting-edge lithium battery storage facility under construction. This site will play a vital role in providing reliable power to Chinchilla and the surrounding communities, enhancing energy stability and sustainability in the region. This project is led by CPP, a South Australian-based company. CPP is also a proud national partner of MATES in Construction.

Since engaging with them, we have rolled out a couple of GAT’s and a Connector Session. Numbers GAT trained on site are around 80, with 10 Connectors. Site ASIST worker and project Manager is Col Stacey, seen in the handover photo with 2 other project management staff.

In South Australia, worksites from Adelaide to regional communities joined the movement, raising the MATES flag high as part of a national initiative that shines a light on the importance of mental health support, connection and care in the construction industry.
