Michael Harper, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, stated, "We are thrilled to welcome Karyn Dale as the new CEO of MATES in Construction SA. Karyn has been an integral part of our organisation for the past six years, serving as the Marketing and Business Development Manager. Her leadership has been instrumental in growing our brand in South Australia, and we are confident that Karyn’s experience and vision will drive MATES SA to new heights."

The Board would also like to express its gratitude to Alan Suridge, the outgoing CEO, for his exceptional leadership and dedication over the past six years. Alan has been with MATES SA since its inception in 2012, initially serving as the Company Secretary. His tenure as CEO has seen significant growth and the establishment of a strong team culture within the organisation.

Alan Suridge reflected on his time with MATES SA, saying, "It has been an honour to lead the organisation for the past six years. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together. Working closely with Karyn over these years, I have witnessed her passion and dedication firsthand. I am confident she will continue to lead MATES SA with the same commitment to our mission of preventing suicide and supporting mental health in the construction industry."

Karyn Dale expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "I am deeply honoured to step into the role. Over the past two years, I have been preparing for this transition with the support of Alan and the Board, and I look forward to building on the strong foundation that the team has established. Together, we will continue to enhance our services and make a real difference. I am committed to working closely with my team, our partners, stakeholders, and the community to drive positive change and support the mental health and wellbeing of all construction workers and their families.
